Meditaura ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Meditaura mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account information — email address and display name when you create an account.
• Journal & mood data — mood entries, meditation session logs, and streak records you choose to create within the App.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data — session duration, features used, meditation techniques selected, and realm preferences.
• Device information — device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and language settings.
• Purchase information — subscription status and transaction identifiers processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App;
• Personalise your experience, including meditation recommendations;
• Track your meditation streaks, journal history, and mood trends;
• Process and manage your subscriptions;
• Send you service-related communications (e.g., account verification, changes to our terms);
• Analyse usage patterns to improve the App.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union (europe-west1). We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect information:

• Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchases.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see Section 9). Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate data;
• Request deletion of your data;
• Object to or restrict processing of your data;
• Request data portability;
• Withdraw consent at any time.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete such information.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Effective date" above. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
